First gig with Amorphis (Laukaa)

We had an amazing night playing with Amorphis at Peurunka Areena last Thursday and are already pumped to get back on stage with them at the end of the month. Here is a shot Santeri took from the stage:

Neural DSP / Darkglass Electronics

We did a session with Neural DSP and Darkglass Electronics testing out Neural's excellent new Fortin Nameless suite over the summer. The plugin is a beast and it is by far the best digital amp sim we have ever used.

It's the first live recording session we have done and we learned a lot in the process. Massive thanks to the folks at Neural DSP, Darkglass Electronics and Sonic Pump Studios for putting the session together!

Support tour with Amorphis announced

Earlier today, Amorphis officially announced that we will be playing some shows with them in Finland towards the end of the year; we can't wait to hit the road with the band in November! Full details are in the image below:

James's New Guitar

Partnership with EAT MUSIC

After a start to the year that has already been full of exciting new opportunities, Wheel are happy to announce a partnership with our new booking agency, EAT MUSIC. We are looking forward to working closely with them in the future and to many more live shows.

The Divide EP coming 01.06.2018

After a long wait, we are finally ready to announce the release of 'The Divide EP'. It is bigger, better and more ambitious than our previous release and the production has been much more collaborative; we are really happy with how it has turned out. It will be available on all platforms on 01.06.2018

In the meantime, why don’t you follow us on Spotify?

New Guitarist

Wheel had a major change earlier this year in January when Saku Mattila decided to leave the band to pursue other projects. We are truly sorry to see him go as he has been amazing to work with both on and off the stage; we remain on great terms with him socially and look forward to following him in his future career. From all of us, thank you Saku for everything you did and we wish you all the best for the future.

Despite this drastic change and after several difficult months, we are finally ready to move forward. As of one month ago, we have recruited the wonderfully talented Roni Seppänen and have been working with him closely, both in the rehearsal room and on some new material. We have already come up with some great new ideas and are looking forward to playing at Summer Breeze with him in August.

TLDR: life is short and things change but Wheel continues!
